Wake, or what riders use to call in short ‘wakeboarding’, is a water sport related to water skiing. It is practiced with a board similar to that used in snowboarding, but having a design especially conceived for water, while the rider is being towed by a cable, boat or jet ski. The term ‘wakeboarding’ comes from English, ‘wake’ referring to the wave left behind. This sport combines elements of surfing, snowboarding and water skiing, currently being one of the most complex and spectacular water sports.

Full body equipment includes the board, boots, neoprene suit, life jacket, helmet and as the case may be, gloves. It is recommended that initiation is carried out by a trained instructor.
